Accommodations

Club 1 is not the only affliliate that books on this yacht and it is not always solely for single travelers.  However, single travelers regularly book on this yacht without having supplements/prices based on double occupancy.  Club 1 only books guests in weeks we know there will be other single travelers onboard. When booking with Club 1 we will find you a suitable cabin mate or you will have the cabin to yourself depending on size of group. (Yacht sleeps 20 guests)  The accommodations aboard are spacious and comfortable. There are ten staterooms each with its own private bath and are set up to suit Club 1 needs with two twin beds.  You won't find cramped bunk beds aboard your yacht and you've got plenty of walking around space.

The staterooms are directly off the main lounge so each room has an outside view. The rooms are very quiet regardless of what's happening on the outside.

Storage space is abundant with shelves and two large drawers for each guest as well as a hanging closet in each cabin. Even for hard suitcases, there's plenty of room to spread out.

The cabins are fully air-conditioned, with a thermostat in each so you can dial in the exact temperature you want. Outside windows and overhead hatches give you the option of natural ventilation, along with splendid views.

All staterooms have a private bathroom with shower and a toilet that works just like the ones back home -- no marine heads here, so you don't have to worry about which valve or lever to push first. There is a standard 110 outlet, and every bathroom contains an overhead hatch, which helps eliminate the claustrophobic feeling you can get in the bathrooms on some boats.

The stringent requirements of the Canadian Department of Transport demand that each room on the ship - even bathrooms - have two escape routes. Thus all the hatches and windows are man-sized. The same requirements result in our yacht having several watertight bulkheads and a double bottom. These are safety features found on few other ships of this size.

Fluffy, colorful towels and quality linens add the finishing touch.

The Main Salon

The spacious salon is a social hub, with cabins arranged in a U-shape around the front and sides. This common area serves as a central gathering place for guests and crew. The atmosphere is bright and cheery. Couches, tables, and several easy chairs provide plenty of places to lounge, read, or take an afternoon nap. There is a library of books and magazines available for guest use.

Be sure to check out the ships guestbook. You'll find the previous guest's comments both heartwarming and entertaining and you'll want to add some of your own. Overhead hatches let the sunlight pour in; the central air conditioning keeps the room cool and dry.

The Bar

The self-serve honor bar is between the two big doors that lead to the aft deck. Complimentary free fountain-style sodas, juices, iced tea and lemonade are always available. The candy dish is kept well stocked with chocolate, sweets, chocolate, nuts, chocolate, gum and chocolate!

A full selection of beer and liquor is also on hand, with a choice of a-la-carte or lump sum payment. Your tab is tallied up at the end of the week. Mix your own or ask one of the crew to blend up their favorite island concoction for you. Drinks range in price from $3.00 to $6.00 for beer, wine, mixed drinks, blender drinks, and liqueurs or you can pay an all in rate of $95 which covers as much beer, liquor and wine as you would like. This option works out best for most of our guests.

Coffee and tea service is set-up round the clock and snack hors d'oeuvres are served in the afternoon.

The Deck

The two doors exiting the back of the salon lead to the comfortable teak aft deck covered by a permanently rigged awning. This area serves as both dive deck and dining terrace, an arrangement that is quite convenient. The clever design of the tables and chairs allows the system to work.

During the day you'll gather here for dive briefings and preparation. Its also a nice shady place to relax.

At meal time the aft deck makes a marvelous conversion from dive platform to oceanfront restaurant. In a matter of a few minutes, the crew removes the protective covers from the small day tables, swing up the hinged leaves and you've got a beautiful varnished hardwood dining table. Add the fine china and crystal, soft lighting, island breezes and an ever-changing ocean view and you've got the perfect dinner setting.

The Video Lounge

After diving, sailing and sun you'll be able to review your days activities by watching your videos in the separate video lounge located off the aft deck. Comfortable couches and cushy bean-bag chairs give you plenty of space so you can invite all your friends to watch. The "snug" seats about a dozen people comfortably.

The video salon comes complete with a slide projector, 26" TV, VCRs, and a collection of complimentary video movies available for your viewing.

Onboard E-6 processing and photo equipment rentals are also handled here.

There is also a full video editing suite used by the yacht's photo pro to put together the week's memories in a videotape which will be presented at the end of the trip and made available for purchase before you leave.
