Transfer from hotel by private bus from Cuzco to starting point of trek, professional /licensed English speaking head guide, second assistant guide, entrance fee to park and Machu Picchu, cook, meals while on the trek (3 breakfasts, 3 lunches, 3 dinners, daily tea, afternoons & morning at your tents) Equipment: two person tents, tent for kitchen & dining, thick mattresses, ride rest, camping stools, camping table, cooking gear, treated water, first aid kit, oxygen, porter for carrying equipment & food (clients carry personal baggage) Train return at end of trek.

Machu Picchu Inca Trail

The Inca Trail is the classic trek orginating from Cuzco, taking in Andean culture & archaeology. Set in dramatic mountain scenery, it is a mix of mysterious ancient ruins & the excitement of high Andean landscapes. The trail was a royal Inca highway linking Cuzco with the religious citadel of Machu Picchu. The city became lost to the jungle to be rediscovered by Hiram Bingham in 1911. Some of the trail has only been rediscovered in the last two decades. Peru is South America's third largest country, covering 1,285,215 sq. km., and can be divided into three distinct geographic regions. The best known of these is the central high sierra of the Andes, with its massive peaks, steep canyons, and extraordinary pre Columbian archaeological sites. | |
